ITA's nationally recognized internship program provides clinical internships in the fields of Drama Therapy, Art Therapy, Trip the light fantastic/Motion Therapy, and Music Therapy. Clinical internships at ITA meet all of the requirements set forth by the following national associations: The American Music Therapy Association, The Due north American Clan for Drama Therapy, The American Art Therapy Clan, and The American Dance Therapy Association. ITA also provides administrative internships for college students who are interested in Artistic Arts Therapy, but studying in other fields such equally psychology, music, theater, dance, fine art, etc.
During the course of each year, ITA trains 3—iv clinical interns, ten administrative interns, and several volunteers. These students learn from ITA's skilled and experienced team of Creative Arts Therapists who provide preparation through an integrated approach, incorporating multiple creative arts therapy modalities in clinical supervision and handling. ITA'southward diverse client population and diverseness of services make it an optimal internship site for students desiring a broad preparation feel.

Clinical Internships at ITA
The Plant for Therapy through the Arts (ITA) provides clinical internships in the fields of drama therapy, fine art therapy, trip the light fantastic toe / movement therapy and music therapy. ITA interns will graduate possessing advanced clinical skills making them a competitive candidate for a variety of professional opportunities. 100% of ITA interns are employed within a twelvemonth of graduation.
Music Therapy Internship:
ITA'south music therapy internship is one of the national roster internship sites approved by the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA). Students who complete the music therapy internship are eligible to sit for the Music Therapy Board Certification Exam, administered by the Certification Board for Music Therapists. Drama Therapy Internship:
ITA's drama therapy internship is designed for students seeking to fulfill the 800-hour Alternative Training Program required by NADTA under the supervision of a Registered Drama Therapist (RDT).

The Plant for Therapy through the Arts currently provides administrative internships for higher students who are interested in creative fine art therapy, but majoring in other fields (psychology, music, theater, art, etc.). Students who are enrolled in a not-creative arts therapy degree programme are eligible to utilise.
The philosophy of the administrative internship is to provide students with opportunities to experience and gain exposure to creative arts therapy. Students assist ITA therapists in therapy sessions and perform daily administrative tasks under the supervision of the Authoritative Director.
